So, in case you haven't figured it out, I named this blog LMNO for a reason. Each letter stands for something I plan on blogging about. Life, music, nonsense, and other-stuff. So far I've really posted stuff from the "life" category. But not today! Today is music!!!!
Lately I've been completely obsessed with a band by the name of Karmin. They skyrocketed to YouTube fame a few months for their cover of "Look at Me Now" by Chris Brown. This dynamite duo comprised of Nick and Amy has a knack for reinventing popular songs. Their original songs also make you dance along, even if you don't want to.

One crazy week!
This week has been very hard but there were alot of neat thing that happened too.
Earlier this week I was transferred back over to making photo gifts at work. I really enjoyed working with the artists to make Facebook pages, but they needed me more in the gifts department. Even though it was a bit disappointing, I'm over it now.
On thursday my uncle Jeff and his family took my family up to American Fork canyon to have a going away barbeque for my family. Steaks cooked over a campfire are soooo good! Everyone said I was overcooking mine, but it turned out perfect.
Friday my dad flew in from Kansas so he could help with the drive out. They left yesterday morning bright and early. It was so weird going into the house later when it was completely empty. It didn't seem like the same place.
Even though I was in a sentimental mood for a while yesterday, my Saturday actually turned into a very fun day. Chelsi and I spent a couple of hours at Wal-Mart scanning stuff for our wedding registry. Now that I'm actually in the apartment I'm realizing how much stuff we actually need, though I have all the essentials to get me through till the wedding.
After scanning, I "kidnapped" Chelsi to the Highland Gardens to look at the shrubs and flowers. I think she started to imagine having a nice big garden with tons of beautiful flowers, though that'll have to wait till we have a house of our own.
After browsing the gardens for a while I decided that we should go to one of our favorite spots since the weather was nice and cool, but still pleasant. Glen Park, in Highland has been one of my favorite places in the world since I was a kid.
I did service projects there way back when I was a cub scout. Right before I left on my mission (was it really 3 years ago?), we got our family photos taken at Glen Park. Soon after Chelsi and I started dating and the weather allowed (though there was snow on the ground the first time we went) I took her to the park and she fell in love too. After getting engaged we decided that we want our engagement photos to be taken there. Yesterday it became all the more magical to us. We were just pulling in to park when we noticed a trail neither of us had been on, so of course we decided to explore. The trail led to a more secluded area of the park and we were surprised to find several small bridges, a mini amphitheater, and a waterfall!!! I was so cool to find out something new about a place we go to all the time. We're even more excited to get our engagement photos taken now!
Later we went over to her house to hang out with her family while her dad was in town. Her nieces are still scared of me, but they'll warm up sooner or later. After some KFC we played Tsuro and Eights, it was such a fun night!
Today was awesome as well. After church we had a very yummy roast (thanks mom for the stuff from the freezer!) and then we started to choreograph our dance for the reception. We're dancing to the song Two is Better Than One by Boys Like Girls. It's a Rumba and I'm really enjoying learning how to dance. I've wanted to learn for a long time and now I'm marrying a dancer! In many aspects it's similar to marching band, which was my life during high school, but it's very different too. It's hard to pick up some moves because of my marching background, but for the most part, I'm picking it up pretty quickly.
So this week, all in all, was bittersweet, but the sweet definitely overpowered the bitter, as it usually does if you look for it.

We moved into this house near the end of 2005, so there are tons of memories in this house. It's kind of sad to leave, but leaving also marks a new chapter in my life and in the lives of my parents and brothers. I'm sure this new chapter will be an adventure for all of us; for my family in Kansas and for me, here in Utah with Chelsi.

Spring is FINALLY Here!!!
Today was a very good day. I spent most of the morning loafing around in my pjs and going all ocd on my music. TAKE THAT ITUNES!!!!
In the afternoon I went over to Chelsi's house. I brought my camera to take some gorgeous pics of her but ended up taking a ton of photos of the flowers in her yard. A lot of them turned out really cool.
After taking tons of amazing photos we went to my sweet grandma's house for pizza one last time before my fam. moves next Saturday. My grandma is such an awesome lady and I don't get to see her nearly as often as I should.
Later Chelsi and I went to pick up a few things for the apartment which is still looking extremely barren. Though it probably won't be so empty for much longer since next Monday my brothers Jerron and Trevor will be moving in with me temporarily. It should be interesting.......

Welcome to my humble blog.
Welcome to my humble blog.
So, let me explain why I started this blog. There are actually several reasons.
1. My life has been kind of crazy lately. I've been engaged since March and wedding plans take up most of my time when I'm not at work. I just moved into my apartment. My fiancee's sister is having her baby today. And to top it all off, my parents are moving to Kansas next Saturday. With all these big changes happening and because of the big changes that I know are right around the corner (I CAN'T WAIT TIL JULY 16!!!), I wanted to start a blog so that those I love (especially those moving to Kansas) can know what's up with Ben.
2. I've wanted to consolidate my other blogs for a while now, so this blog won't just be about my life but also random rants about music, maybe some of my poetry, and whatever else I feel like writing.
3. I've been in need of something to do lately when I'm all alone in my apartment. Facebook and webcomics can only hold me for so long.
4. I've been really needing to get back into the habit of writing and this gives me a perfect opportunity.
5. At work I'm always teaching people how to run their social media, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to try running some of my own.
6. This is what really tipped the scale for me. A few days back I found the blog of my beautiful cousin Brooke. Her bubbly and fun attitude and excellent writing skills inspired me. Cheesy I know, but what the hay!
So there you have it, I hope you enjoy!
